St Lawrence Ground is a cricket ground located in Canterbury, Kent. Due to commercial sponsorship reasons, the ground is also called the Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence. Since the establishment of the venue in 1847, it has been used for hosting first-class cricket matches and thus, is also considered one of the oldest cricket grounds in the world. The first ODI hosted at the St Lawrence Ground was in the year 1999 between England and Kenya. However, to date, no Test matches have been organized at the venue. Apart from international cricket matches, the ground is majorly used for hosting county cricket matches. The venue serves as the home ground for Kent County Cricket Club. St Lawrence is also the venue for the oldest cricket festival in the world, Canterbury Cricket Week.
