Seddon Park is a cricket stadium located in Hamilton, New Zealand. The venue was named after the longest-serving Prime Minister of New Zealand, Richard Seddon. Famous for its “village green” setting, the view from the stadium is considered a delight for the spectators. With a seating capacity of 10,000, Seddon Park comes as the fourth-largest cricket ground in New Zealand. The first major cricket match played at Seddon Park was in the year 1914 between Australia's national team and New Zealand. The first ODI played at the venue was in 1981 between New Zealand and India. 10 years later in 1991, the stadium hosted its first Test match where New Zealand faced Sri Lanka as the opponent.
