Sawai Mansingh Stadium is located in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. The stadium was established in the year 1969 and was named after the former Maharaja of Jaipur, Sawai Man Singh II. Currently, Rajasthan Cricket Association operates the ground. The first and only match played at SMS Stadium was a solitary Test match between India and Pakistan in 1987. As an initiative to “Cricket for Peace”, then Pakistan President General Zia-ul-Haq crossed the border to watch the second day’s play of the match. In 1983, the first ODI was hosted at the ground that too between India and Pakistan. Later in 2021, India and New Zealand played against each other in the first-ever T20I hosted at the venue.
