The construction of the venue was completed by the end of 2017 and the official inauguration of Perth happened in Jan of 2018. By area and seating capacity, Perth is the third-largest stadium in Australia. The major sports events hosted by the venue are Australian rules football and cricket. The first Test played on the ground was in the year 2018 and the match was between Australia and India. At the start of the same year, the first ODI was also organized between Australia and England.
