This cricket stadium is named after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi after they decided to build the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sports Enclave instead of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sports Enclave has many other sports facilities like Football, Cricket, Hockey, Swimming, Indoor Sports, Aquatics Sports, Cycling Track, and many more.

Narendra Modi Stadium is a cricket stadium located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. Built-in the year 1983, the stadium was formerly called Gujarat Stadium. It was later renovated and renamed Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium in 2006. However, the stadium was demolished in 2015 and was completely rebuilt in 2020. Gujarat Cricket Association renamed the newly constructed stadium after the current PM of the country, Narendra Modi in 2021. Owing to the seating capacity of 1,32,000, the stadium is recognized as the largest stadium in the world. The first test match witnessed by the stadium ground after the reconstruction was between India and England in Feb 2021.
