Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium is a Pune-located cricket stadium. Specifically, the ground is built beside the Pune Mumbai Expressway nestled between the hills of the Western Ghats in the Gahunje village of Pune, Maharashtra. The stadium was inaugurated in the year 2012 with the hosting of the first IPL match. The match was between Pune Warriors and Kings XI Punjab. Later, the stadium ground was used for organizing international matches as well in the same year. In 2012, the stadium witnessed it's first Twenty20 International, in 2013, the first ODI was hosted on the stadium ground, and in 2017, the first test match was played. The venue is also used as the home ground for the Maharashtra cricket team.
