The M. Chinnaswamy Stadium is a cricket stadium located in the city of Bangalore, Karnataka. It was formerly called Karnataka State Cricket Association Stadium and was established in the year 1969. M. Chinnaswamy Stadium was the first of its kind to use solar panels for generating the electricity required to run the stadium. From the date of establishment to now, the stadium has witnessed a number of tests and ODIs. After the first test match played on November 1974 and the first ODI on September 1982, the stadium has hosted 22 tests and 24 ODI as of the last report on 13 Jan 2022. Also, the ground is well-known as the home ground for the famous IPL team, Royal Challengers Bangalore.
