Lord’s, also called Lord’s Cricket Ground, is a cricket venue in St John’s Wood, London. The founder of the ground, Thomas Lord, established it in the year 1814 and the venue is currently operated and owned by Marylebone Cricket Club. Until August 2005, Lord’s was the home to International Cricket Council along with serving as a home ground to Middlesex County Cricket Club, the England and Wales Cricket Board, and the European Cricket Council. Thus, it’s also widely famous as the Home of Cricket. The first test played on the Lord’s ground was in the year 1884 between England and Australia. While the first ODI was organized almost a century later in 1972. This was also between England and Australia.
