Holkar Cricket Stadium is located in Indore city of Madhya Pradesh, India. Formerly called Maharani Usharaje Trust Cricket Ground, the stadium was renamed by the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association after the Holkar dynasty of Marathas in 2010. The first test match played on the Holkar ground was in October 2016 between India and New Zealand. However, the first ODI was played 10 years earlier, that was in April 2006, between India and England. The ground was the witness to the historic ODI score of 219 made by Virender Sehwag in the 2011 ODI match against West Indies. Apart from international matches, Holkar stadium also hosts the majority of home matches played by the Madhya Pradesh cricket team in the Ranji Trophy.
