Grace Road is a cricket ground located in Leicester, England. For sponsorship reasons, the venue is also called Uptonsteel County Ground, Grace Road. The land on which now the stadium stands was bought from the then Duke of Rutland in 1877 by the Leicestershire County Club. Thus, after spending a massive sum on constructing the venue, one year later, in 1878, Grace Road was established. Currently, the stadium serves as Leicestershire County Cricket Club's home ground and administrative base. Grace Road majorly hosts domestic cricket matches. However, to date, the stadium has witnessed three ODI with the first one being in 1983 between India and Zimbabwe. The match was won by India by five wickets.
