The Bay Oval cricket ground is at Mount Maunganui, Tauranga. The ground comes under the Bay of Plenty area of New Zealand. The inaugural of the ground happened in Blake Park in the year 2005. The construction of the Bay Oval cricket ground was carried out by the Bay of Plenty Cricket Association. And 2 years after the construction, the ground witnessed its first cricket match which was played by Northern Districts' women’s side. However, international matches were hosted much later on the ground. The first ODI was played on January 2014 between Canada and Netherlands. While the first test was played in November 2019 between England and New Zealand in which New Zealand won the game.
