Zimbabwe National Cricket Team was granted full member status by the International Cricket Council in 1992. Prior to the year, the team was playing matches under associate membership since 1981. The team representing Zimbabwe in men’s international cricket is also called “The Chevrons.” Zimbabwe Cricket Association is responsible for operating the team duties. Before getting Test status, the country Zimbabwe, also known as Rhodesia until 1980 had a national cricket team that represented Zimbabwe in domestic South Africa cricket matches. Presently, Zimbabwe National Team is in 10th position in Test, 13th in ODI, and 11th in T201. Collectively, the team had played 117 matches to date.
