The West Indies women’s cricket team participates regularly in international women’s cricket matches. The Windies had its first match in 1976 which was a Test tournament between the West Indies team and Australia. 3 years later in 1979, the team played its first ODI debut against England at Lensbury Sports Ground, London. The West Indies Cricket Board operates windies. WICB is a full member of the ICC and on the international stage for cricket, the association represents fifteen countries and territories. Also, players from various countries in the Caribbean compete as a team of West Indies in International Women’s cricket.
