Cricket has been a part of the Netherlands’ sports culture since the 19th century. However, the nation’s cricket team achieved Associate Membership of the ICC in 1966 only. The national cricket team of the Netherlands played its first ODI on February 1996 against New Zealand at Reliance Stadium Vadodara, India.

Netherlands National Cricket Team appeared in all eleven World Cup Qualifier tournaments, in which they achieved victory in 2001 in Canada. The team has recently been granted full Twenty20 International status on April 2018. Speaking of the team’s current ICC rankings, in ODI, the Netherlands stands 15th among all other teams, and in T20I, they are ranked 17th.
