In international men’s cricket, the Ireland national cricket team is the country's sole representative. The international team is organized by the Irish Cricket Union, which conducts business under the name, Cricket Ireland. The team was an Associate Member of the ICC until 1993. Ireland was granted Test status alongside Afghanistan on June 22, 2017, making Ireland the 11th Full Member of the International Cricket Council and the second Full Member from Europe. The game of cricket was introduced to Ireland in the 19th century, and an Ireland team participated in its first game in 1855. The team played its first Test in 2018 and its first ODI in 2006. The current ranking of Ireland in the Test is 12th, in ODI, it’s 11th, and in T20I, it’s 12th.
