Delhi Capitals is a Delhi-based cricket franchise team that participates in the Indian Premier League. The team was formerly known as Delhi Daredevils and after rebranding in 2019, they became Delhi Capitals. The home ground of the team is at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. The team is coached by one of the world’s prominent cricket player, Ricky Ponting. However, their first appearance in the IPL finals have been very recent, i.e., in the year 2020.

Speaking of the ownership of the team, initially, Delhi Capitals was owned by property development company, GMR Group. But in the year 2018, GMR group sold 50% stake of the league team to JSW Sports. The performance of Delhi Capitals in the league matches have been appreciable. Yet they haven’t been able to grab the Indian Premier League trophy to date.
